Introduction
Steps
Start
- Go to the JiTR link at http://ra.tapor.ualberta.ca/~jitr/
- Log in with your username and password.
- Wait for the page to load.
- You can either view existing collections or create a new collection.
Create a Collection
- To create a new collection click on "New Collection" on the home page.
- Choose a name and a description for you collection and click "Create".
- On the home page you will see your new collection.
- Click on your collection to add a new text.
- To add a text click "Add a text" or "Upload XML" under "Import Text" on the right hand column.
- To add an XML file go to "Upload XML" and choose your file then click "Upload".
- To add text, HTML or XML choose "Add Text".
- Here you can give your file a name, tags, description and text format.
- You then paste your text into the Source text textbox and press "Create"
Analyzing Texts
- To analyze your text click on the collection from the home page
- Under the text you want analyzed click "Analyze" and Voyant Tools will open to analyze your text

Description
JiTR is a project that considers how principles of online mash-ups can benefit text-based research. It helps its user collect online texts into one place, then organize and process them.
